Each class has a different class resource, and the resources of mirror classes mirror each other.
Focus[]
Jedi Knights use Focus, which starts at 0, is built up when basic abilities such as Strike and Force Leap are used and consumed by most of their damaging abilities.
Rage[]
Sith Warriors use Rage, which works in the same way as Focus. It starts at 0, is built up when basic abilities such as Assault and Force Charge are used and consumed by most of their damaging abilities.
Force[]
Force is used by the Jedi Consular and Sith Inquisitor. Force starts at 100% and regenerates after use. Force is used by most of their damaging abilities apart from Saber Strike. Sages and Sorcerers can have up to 600 Force while Shadows and Assassins have only 100, but the recharge rates are the same. Out of combat Meditation/Seethe can restore Force faster.
Energy[]
Energy is used by the Smuggler and Imperial Agent and works in the same way as Force. Energy is used by most of their damaging abilities apart from Rifle Shot/Flurry of Bolts. If energy gets too low Adrenaline Probe/Cool Head can be used. Out of combat Recuperate can restore energy faster.
Energy Cells[]
Troopers use Energy Cells, which work in the same way as Force and Energy. Energy Cells are used by most of their damaging abilities apart from Hammer Shot. If energy cells get too low Recharge Cells can be used. Out of combat Recharge and Reload can restore energy cells faster.
Heat[]
Bounty Hunters, on the other hand, have Heat, which works in the opposite way from the other class resources: it starts at 0%, is generated when most of their damaging abilities apart from Rapid Shots are used, and dissipates after use. If heat gets too high Vent Heat can be used. Out of combat Recharge and Reload can release heat faster.
Tech Class Resource Recharge Rates[]
The recharge rate for Energy and Energy Cells is as follows (Force, on the other hand, recharges at a constant rate):
- 60% and above: Fast
- 40% to 59%: Moderate
- 20% to 39%: Slow
- Below 20%: Very Slow
For Heat dissipation rate:
- 40% and below: Fast
- 41% to 59%: Moderate
- 60% to 79%: Slow
- Above 80%: Very Slow
