A commendation is a type of currency which can be obtained by completing missions and looting mobs. Commendations can be used to purchase various weapons, armor, mods, and upgrades from commendation vendors.
As of Game Update 7.0.0, most commendations have been removed, with only Fleet Commendations still in the game.
