|Chronological and political information|
- "Through all the recent upheaval in the Dark Council, it is the sphere of Military Offense that has seen the most turbulence. After the brief and fiery tenure of Darth Arho, and the failed schemes of Darth Vengean before that, it was imperative that an even-tempered, long-trusted Sith take up the affairs of the Imperial military. Enter Darth Arkous, veteran of the Great Galactic War and passionate loyalist. With deep influence and fervent support from across the Empire’s political landscape, Arkous is in a position to engage in grand offensive strategies without fear of interference–exactly the sort of bold maneuvering the Empire could use as it struggles to emerge from the brink of defeat."
- ―In-game Codex (Persons of Note)
Darth Arkous was a Sith Pureblood male Sith Lord and member of the Sith Empire's Dark Council during the Galactic War against the Galactic Republic. He was later discovered as being a member of the Order of Revan, and betrayed the Empire to help the Order destroy both factions.
Arkous was the head of operations for the Empire's assault on the Jedi world of Tython and made it appear as though it was simply a crushing blow to the Republic. In truth, he sent a Chagrian Sith Lord, Goh, to recover a Rakatan artifact from the Jedi Temple during the heat of the fighting. Arkous timed the attack on Tython with an attack by his Order ally, Republic Colonel Rian Darok, who coordinated his own attack on Korriban with the same premise of recovering Rakatan technology.
Keeping up the facade that he was still an Imperial ally, Arkous and Darok met on the planet Manaan after Tython was retaken by the Republic. They then experimented on Selkath warriors with the hopes of using the recovered Rakatan items to forge an unstoppable army for the Order of Revan. However, they're laboratory was invaded by forces coordinated by Theron Shan and Lana Beniko, but too late - the testing had resulted in a non-lethal result, and the two made their escape from the planet, leaving the lab to be destroyed. Arkous later contacted Beniko, informing her that he intended on successfully recruiting her to the Order, but changed his mind when he saw who she was working with.
Arkous and Darok then traveled to Rakata Prime to deliver their findings and recovered technology to the Order's Star Forge rebuilding efforts. Shan and Beniko's strike team, along with Jakarro and C2-D4, attacked the planet soon after their arrival, leaving Arkous and Darok no choice but to defend themselves. Both were killed in action atop the roof of a Rakatan temple, and Beniko was later accused for Arkous' murder and was forced to go into hiding.
