The Apprentice to a renowned Lord, Renning, she felt that her Master's experiments were a waste of the empire's time and resources and that he had deluded the Dark Council into believing that his experiments were advancing Sith knowledge when he only dissected animals for his own personal amusement, that he was unable to teach anyone anything about the dark side of The Force. Growing rather weary of her Master, she wanted to sabotage Renning's experiments and see him banished. Towards the end of the Cold War, one of Renning's Tuk'ata had managed to escape and she believed it to be an opportunity for her to bring his imposture to light. However, the two acolytes that she tried to recruit for the task decided to inform Renning of her treachery, who proceeded to torture her with Force lightning as punishment in addition to removing her as his apprentice.
Malora outlived her master, who perished during the Korriban Incursion.
Apprentice Malora believes her master's research on tuk'ata is pointless and she seeks to discredit him to the Dark Council.

— While Malora possesses a brilliant mind—not unlike Empress Acina—she has little of Acina's patience for the subtlety of military operations.
Years later, Malora would become a Dark Lord of the Sith in her own right. Going by the name Darth Malora, she was chosen to become a member of the Empire's Dark Council. Her expertise was as Head of Scientific Advancement, replacing Technology & Biotic Science.
