RE: Sorry Edit
Hello, Corba. First off, I have absoluetly nothing against you or the fact that you're here to help contribute. That's fantastic in it's own right, but it's how you contribute that matters.
I didn't put the block on your account because I thought you unwelcome - rather, you plagerized pages and images directly from Wookiepedia. Something like that isn't allowed, realistically on any site on the internet, and policy dictates that an administrator block accounts that do this. We've had some incidents like this in the past.
I'm happy that you are willing to contribute - however, the information you provide needs to be in your own words and must come from sources you can refer to rather than just copying and pasting.
Alright I understand, I'll try my best then. Am just getting tried of the guys on Wookiepedia disbeileving me on my posting on characters there, so I sometimes ready myself. But anyway, glad it didn't went there. Anyway, I'll try my best to help here.(Corba19 (talk) 06:38, March 28, 2015 (UTC))
RE:Mandalorian lieutenant Edit
Adding articles like that - ones that have no definite name to them - would go under the title "Unidentified Mandalorian lieutenant," which doesn't really look all that good, especially since there's not much info on him. Save that kind of page for last if you can. ShatterClub|talk|TOR Wiki Bureaucrat 07:04, March 28, 2015 (UTC)
Okay, just wanted make sure on that part(Corba19 (talk) 07:05, March 28, 2015 (UTC))
....oh...well I feel like an idiot(Corba19 (talk) 07:39, March 28, 2015 (UTC))
Also, i would kindly ask you to take several minutes of your time to actually look at the other articles and their proper fortmatting, since i literally have to go through your edits and fix them to fit with standards. Take Shian and Abaron as examples and compare them to your own. Helios8 (talk) 19:41, March 28, 2015 (UTC)
RE: Sorry for the TroubleEdit
Hi Corba, it's alright no need to worry, its what we do here on the wiki helping each other out. As for mistakes the best advice I think I give you is watch and learn. Also check out some of the other pages on the wiki and see how they are formatted, you can also look on my user page for a set of guide lines that I use when editing, also check out the manual of style here on the wiki.
(PS. Keep up the good work)
Alright, thanks man, I'll try look into it(Corba19 (talk) 05:22, March 31, 2015 (UTC))
I appreciate the fact that you try to add your own photos to the pages you create and that's how it should be, but could i ask you to edit those pictures with Paint or some other program like that, so that only the character is visible and not the whole background? Helios8 (talk) 18:19, March 31, 2015 (UTC)
Normally I would, but I don't really have any programs like that, besides am little wary with those, I rather avoid problems. Best I can do is I can get most of the photo on the character and not so much on backround till I figure out a way counter the problem, sorry man :((Corba19 (talk))
RE: Sounds RightEdit
Okay, the Mandalorian is name Pit Rauhut, his only been filled in Star Wars wiki, here's what am thinking.
Pit Rauhut was a young male Human Mandalorian warrior who lived during the Cold War. Along with fellow Mandalorian Warusman Ordo came to Tatooine to test themselves in a challenging trial. One where inject themselve with deadly posion and have 30 minutes to fight through Sand People to get the cure. However Warusman Ordo was weaked enough by poison for Sand People finish him off. Leaving Pit to tell the matter to Rogger Den.
- I would like to suggest a small amendment.
Pit Rauhut was a young male Human Mandalorian warrior who lived during the Cold War. Along with fellow Mandalorian Warusman Ordo, the two came to Tatooine to test themselves in a challenging trial. The pair injected themselves with deadly poison and had only 30 minutes to fight through a tribe of Sand People to get the cure. However Warusman Ordo was weakened enough by the poison for the Sand People to overcome him, leaving Pit to explain the matter to Rogger Den.
That sounds good, thanks man(Corba19 (talk) 05:25, April 1, 2015 (UTC))
Never mind, found something close to it, but still trying get it work right without runing the screenshot(Corba19 (talk) 15:41, April 2, 2015 (UTC))
RE: Should we add them? Edit
No, don't worry about it. If we try to add in every single NPC who happens to have the name "Mandalorian," we'll go nuts. Don't worry about it. ShatterClub|talk|TOR Wiki Bureaucrat 16:04, April 2, 2015 (UTC)
Alright then dude, oh and sorry for the mistakes I made on those topics(Corba19 (talk) 16:10, April 2, 2015 (UTC))
Hi Corba, this is TOR wiki and it is a game database like Dragon Age wiki, so yes you can include those topics.
Hmm okay then, man, I really hope I don't piss off the others here with that(Corba19 (talk) 16:11, April 2, 2015 (UTC))
RE: J $ SEdit
Hmm I'm not 100% sure, so I think you must investigate it further before you post anything.
Yeah you make a fair point, man am getting sick of tried seeing so many characters in SWTOR wearing armor seen by Mandalorians and not knowing if they are Mandalorians or not. We really need start listing the armors from the game(Corba19 (talk) 07:38, April 6, 2015 (UTC))
New NPC infoboxEdit
Hi Corba, just here to tell you that I'm upgrading the NPC infobox, so don't be alarmed when everything looks different.
Alright then(Corba19 (talk) 08:11, April 7, 2015 (UTC))
Unfortunately not my friend, that is a very rare image, it seems someone will have to take a screenshot or something.
Hello, Corba. I just want to touch on some formatting things with you when it comes to the articles you create.
- Always italicize the names of the game and it's expansions. Rather than Star Wars: The Old Republic, it's Star Wars: The Old Republic.
- Creating a "Behind the scenes" section is only nessecary if there is something that a player can do to affect the outcome of a character's fate. You don't need to add "this character first appeared here" stuff because every NPC's first appearence was in the game.
- Always use "Appearences" heading rather than just "Appearence," even if they only show up onces in the game.
- Don't use brackets "[" and "]". Those should only be used for links, and look like a formatting error. Use parentheses instead.
- Oh, one other point - mentions of other articles only need to be linked the first time it is mentioned. Please do not mentioned Mandalorians at the beginning of an article and then go and link Mandalorians every time it comes up in the article. (Don't do what I just did here.) Only once per article, thanks. ShatterClub|talk|TOR Wiki Bureaucrat 01:21, June 4, 2016 (UTC)
