New Empire

The New Empire story arc, called Ilum Under Siege on the Republic side and An Empire Betrayed on the Imperial side, is the final mission in the Ilum planetary storyline and the final story arc in the vanilla game. It focuses on Darth Malgus, who is dissatisfied with the Empire's narrow-minded policies and the infighting within the Dark Council, attempting to establish an empire of his own and includes the Battle of Ilum and The False Emperor flashpoints.

Description

Darth Malgus has declared a new Empire, one free from narrow-minded policies, an infighting Dark Council and an apathetic Emperor. He has seized the Emperor's throne and rallied supporters from the far corners of the galaxy. Now, Malgus's army has launched an assault on Ilum to seize the planet's Adegan crystals that he needs to power his stealth armada. For the safety of the galaxy, Darth Malgus must be stopped.
