R-4 Anomaly ("R4") is an operation that takes place in sector R-4. Currently, R-4 Anomaly ties with Explosive Conflict for the lowest boss count of any operation in the game (excluding Boss Lairs/Instanced Bosses). R-4 Anomaly was planned to be released with 5 bosses, opposed to the 4 it currently has however, the removed boss (Lord Valeo) experienced too many performance and gameplay issues similar to ones found in Crisis on Umbara within testing (Due to the fight taking place on a moving train), and was scrapped before release. This operation has 4 bosses, ending with Lady Dominique. It's entrance can be found at the far right dock on Mek-Sha near the Slugfall Cantina.
This is the first level 80 operation in terms of difficulty. This was released with patch 7.0.0. It can be completed in Story Mode and Veteran Mode. Players who complete all the available "Marks of Mastery" challenge achievements (found in the legacy pane) in Veteran Mode receive the True Anomaly character title that can be unlocked in collections and claimed on any character
The developers have claimed there is no Master Mode (nim) version of R4 in development, and there likely will never be a Master Mode of this unless Broadsword expresses interest in creating / expanding the SWTOR endgame content
