Skill Mentors are NPCs that can reset a player's discipline and refund skill points. This is known as re-specializing or respeccing. They can be found in hubs such as Dromund Kaas, Coruscant and the Imperial and Republic Fleets. As of Game Update 7.0.0, the job has become obsolete, as players can now respec in a cantina, starship or stronghold.

The first time a character resets their skills, there is no cost. Subsequent skill resets increase in price dependent on the character's level. This can reach a maximum of 
99,999. The cost to respec is reset 7 days after the initial skill reset.
