Space Combat: Fondor Escort is the first space combat missions for the Republic side. Once attaining your ship, it is one of three missions that comes unlocked and is accessible through your galaxy map.
Description[]
An urgent distress signal has been detected in the Fondor system. Republic soldiers and colonists kidnapped by the Empire have escaped confinement and taken flight in a shuttle. All available vessels are requested to defend the escapees and ensure that some proof of the Empire's aggression is preserved.

Primary Objective:

- Escort the Shuttle to Safety
Secondary Objectives:
- [15] Defend the Shuttle from Interceptors
- Take Out Mark VI Interceptors: 0/25 (7 XP per ship)
- [30] Disable the Enemy Fleet
- Destroy the Frigate's Turrets: 0/20
Secondary Hidden Objective:
- Knock Out the Enemy Command (While the objective is destructible every mission, the bonus is only available once per day)

If the mission is gray in your quest log, you will only earn 5 XP for completing it. You can gain approximately 1000 XP during the mission if you are fairly aggressive in destroying interceptors and capital ship turrets.
Daily Mission[]
There is an associated daily mission you can get on your ship which sends you back to Space Combat: Fondor Escort after completing the initial quest. It is called Operation Midnight Freedom and rewards upon completion:
