Walmart Accidentally Cancels "Nearly All" SWTOR Pre-Orders Nationwide=[]
Hands-down, the next biggest Holiday 2011 release is EA and Bioware's Star Wars: The Old Republic. Pre-orders for physical copies of the game have reached over 900,000 as of the end of November, with many of those undoubtedly being placed at Walmart retail locations across the nation.
Over this past weekend, the massive retail chain announced that they had accidentally cancelled nearly every single pre-order placed at their locations. Overnight, gamers amassed in the official SWTOR forums, all complaining of essentially the exact same thing; their pre-orders at Walmart had vanished. A Walmart customer service representative was reached by a frustrated SWTOR fan who said that they confirmed that the cancellations came as a result of a 'data error' and that 'nearly all' pre-orders had been cancelled.

Latest Beta Testing Information[]
Bioware has announced at the PAX2011 event that the September testing weekends are confirmed to start on Saturday the 2nd. These events will still be for selected testers however the number of testers is being ramped up dramatically for these weekends. [2] The information released at PAX has also hinted that Bioware will be trying to allow the largest number of testers to access the game during these weekends by selecting a different group for each weekends test [3].
