Tactical Advantage is an Operative passive ability/buff (Upper Hand is a Scoundrel buff) that serves as a resource mechanic for all disciplines within the combat style/advanced class. It is mainly used for more powerful abilities. It is gained at Level 15.
It can be generated by the following abilities, including some of the following examples:
- Shiv / Blaster Whip
- Backstab
- Toxic Blast (Lethality discipline)
- Crippling Throw (Concealment discipline only, skill tree choice)
- Kolto Injection / Underworld Medicine
- Stim Boost (Lethality discipline upgrade)
It is used by the following abilities. Sometimes using an ability will refresh the tactical advantage and cause it not to be consumed.
- Corrosive Assault (Lethality) / Brutal Shots (Ruffian)
- Laceration (Concealment) / Sucker Punch (Scrapper)
- Toxic Haze / Bushwhack
- Kolto Infusion
- Surgical Probe
Some other passive abilities upgrade Tactical Advantage to provide some small buffs while it is active. Tactical Advantage lasts 24s and stacks to two charges.
