Weapon

A weapon is a type of item equipped in a main hand or offhand slots on a character that produces damage.

Types of weapons

There are thirteen types of weapons and three categories of weapons: melee, ranged, and special. Each weapon type requires the respective weapon proficiency.

Melee weapons

• Double-bladed lightsabers: Equipped by Jedi Shadows and Sith Assassins. Requires Weapon Proficiency: Double-Bladed Lightsaber.
• Electrostaves: Requires Weapon Proficiency: Electrostaff.
• Lightsabers: Requires Weapon Proficiency: Lightsaber.
• Techblades: Requires Weapon Proficiency: Techblade.
• Techstaves: Requires Weapon Proficiency: Techstaff.
• Training sabers: Requires Weapon Proficiency: Training Saber.
• Vibroswords: Requires Weapon Proficiency: Vibrosword.

Ranged weapons

• Assault cannons: Equipped by Commandos. Requires Weapon Proficiency: Assault Cannon.
• Blaster pistols: Requires Weapon Proficiency: Blaster Pistol.
• Blaster rifles: Requires Weapon Proficiency: Blaster Rifle.
• Sniper rifles: Equipped by Snipers. Requires Weapon Proficiency: Sniper Rifle.

Special weapons

Special weapons are equipped in the offhand slot and are only used with certain abilities.

• Scatterguns: Equipped by Smugglers. Requires Weapon Proficiency: Scattergun.
• Vibroknives: Equipped by Imperial Agents. Requires Weapon Proficiency: Vibroknife.
